Week 8: Classmate Conversations- Danny Velazquez

Danny is a third-year electrical engineering major that commutes to Long Beach. On his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends or his parrots at home. He loves his parrots dearly and knows just about everything you need to know about his beloved pets. Danny was formerly on the cross country team back in high school. On his spare time, he also likes to run.

There were three Questions of the Week:

  • What is a piece of art, of any medium, that you would like to share with everyone? Why do you like it and why do you think others should experience (read, see, listen to, etc.) it? – Carlos

Danny and I both had a hard time deciding what we medium we’d like to share. Danny said that he would enjoy sharing a simple piece of art. Something simple, like paintings of sceneries or things in everyday life.

  • Would you be supportive of your child wanting to pursue an art career? Why or why not? –Anonymous

Danny would be very supportive regardless of major his child may pick. He believes in not forcing his child to go down a path that they don’t want. He would very much like his child to be happy with their choices, instead of living a miserable lifestyle that he’s chosen for them.

  • Open your phones to the 1st page. What apps do you both have? What apps are different? Discuss! –Glenn

Danny has a picture of Khaleesi, a character from the popular tv show Game of Thrones. His phone is styled to have his apps opened on the side rather than the standard layout. We both have similar basic apps such as calling, texting. I just have more social media on my home screen.
